Tanya Gomelskaya

Tanya was born in St. Petersburg Russia and emigrated to the U.S. in 1993. Deeply influenced by her artistic mother and sister she

She has two distinct bodies of work that are created parallel but are quite contrary to one another.

The first series focuses on emotionally charged surrealist painting reflecting personal experiences. Using predominately oil paint Tanya strives to explore new mediums branching into three dimensional elements.

With a contrast to the drama Tanya creates a second series dedicated to gummy bear candies. A momentary taste of a bright and carefree youth combining pop colors and a realistic technique.
